Week of Rest and Relaxation

I'm writing this week note while sitting in a cab an hour away from home.

There is a type of loneliness you can only feel after parting ways with friends and you are intimately aware that there is nobody waiting for you at home.

I'm hungry for food and a bit of affection.

I spent this week closing tickets at work, I don't find it rewarding. I need a change of scenery.

Worked out very little while resting my knees. It's funny how every day you get little reminders of your age.

This weekend involved me watching Spider-Man and Odyssey. Both movies were great in different ways.

My review of Spider-Man: "Spider-Man's story becomes better based on how hard you punch Peter Parker in the balls. This was a good attempt."

My review of Odyssey: "It was a great movie right up until the last 15 mins. Oppenheimer and Odyssey are in conversation with each other. Oppenheimer ends with the titular character realising that the Nuclear Genie is out of the bottle and there is only one way our world ends. There is an impending sense of doom. Odyssey lets Odysseus ride off into the sunset while aware of the impending Bronze Age Collapse."

Conclusions

I didn't really learn anything new or meet anyone interesting.

I just connected with my friends and that's great.

I need to be on a beach, listening to the waves with an ice cold Gin and Tonic in my hand.
