Weeknote June 22-28 2026

how was my week

This week wasn't particularly memorable, but there were a few highlights which I can share.

I finished running 30 kilometres on Saturday which was painful but also satisfying. I also learned that I need a cap and UV protection because my skin is getting pretty tanned around the exposed section.

Professionally I am at a point which can be described as dancing at the edge of a knife. This GPT driven future which is being non consensually rammed down my throat is making management and leadership expect what can be described with a simple phrase.

Why of course nine women can give birth to a baby in one month! Now we need to figure out how we can make One woman give birth to nine babies in one week!

When people talk about this utopia where an agent swarm does all the work, I would like to imagine reclining in a chair with a robot fanning me as another feeds me grapes, instead now we are all expected to work harder to produce more. To the end of producing more output or impact or whatever nobody really cares about burnout.

Creatively I am at a unique position. Now that I have some time to reflect and write things I feel more connected to who I was years ago. There is still a process and I think there is no need to rush things, instead I can enjoy the exploration phase of writing stuff down, or making things creatively.

Watching movies has been a good passtime as well, I caught a showing of Supergirl and I felt like it didn't have the same joy as Superman did from last year. What I felt was that it felt like I was reading a story from the middle of the book. What I mean by that is that I would have liked to see at least 10 mins of Kara not really fitting in on Earth or something like that, i think there is a way to edit the movie with scenes already in the final cut which can be arranged to make it flow better.

random thoughts

Journaling is fun especially because it helps getting thoughts out of my head into paper, I would like to do it more often but there is no point in forcing it because I'll stop enjoying it.
