My ankle is not broken. Yay! So I can walk and I did just finish running my fastest 5K so far on Saturday right after hurting my ankle in the first place.
This week was spent mostly doing nothing in particular. I am super bored of staying at home, and I love socializing with people whenever I get the oppurtunity to. I had a lovely talk with our second podcast guest and her journey of making a game studio in India which has endured for 10 years was inspiring.
I finally went back to the mma gym, after a long time because I was sick the week before this one, we are starting up with our grading soon and I am excited in finally getting a grade and a belt after 3 years of showing up.
The weekend was spent with my closest friends, we went out for lunch and just hung out talking about nothing in particular. I had fun time 5th wheeling 2 couples (a couple of couples?) and I got to be as obnoxious as I need to be because I am single, and sometimes it's just fun to be annoying as hell.
I feel like someone who is in a liminal space every day is the same, but there are very minute differences.
I am currently fluctuating between 83 and 85 kgs, 2 kgs might not seem like a lot but in my head 85 might as well be 90 and 90 is basically 100, so that's body dysmorphia in a nutshell. Objectively it not true but I have a hard time convincing my brain. I am happy that I am just 3 kgs short of my goal weight for this year and now for 3 weeks I will be taking it light on the exercise and running because I have hit the plateau.
After the 3 weeks we will be doing a 26 week program to get down to 70s, my weight loss is slow and steady and I have lost nearly 20 kgs in 9 months so it is sustainable but boring. I know that with losing that much weight there is a chance of muscle loss and I am seeing I can do to mitigate that. Although I would love a DEXA scan or something to get an accurate read of my body fat % and muscle %
Interviews are happening, and it's such a boring process to apply the same details again and again. Still waiting on that dream job interview so that I can go to work from a beach sipping mai tais and listening to the sea crash against the sand.
