Weeknote September 21 - September 27 2026

Whooo what a week it has been!

I know it sounds exciting and in some ways it has been.

Jobhunting proceeds as usual, and I am applying for whatever comes my way. Hoping that I get employed soon~ish because I have expensive tastes :P

I'm still working on my personal website. It's mostly done and I'll share it with the club and gather some feedback.

The shiny new allure of the potential project is always on the horizon.

I know it seems like I have paused the GTA game dev series for a bit but it's with good reasons mostly the job search and website development. Now that the website is almost finished we will be back soon.

Speaking of Gamedev. I had the pleasure of co-hosting a fun interactive podcast with my new friend Ishan. He reached out on the group about hosting a podcast showcasing and championing Indian Indie Devs and we had a conversation.

I'll share the first ep of that when it's out. Look forward to that!

Let's see what else. The highlights were shared above so now let's see the lowlights or real life bloopers.

I spent some time talking with the person whom I thought was interesting. I asked her out and she was receptive. Unfortunately (for me) she was in another country at the time vacationing for her birthday week.

When she got back because of various circumstances we couldn't go out on a date and she ended up ghosting me which I felt bad about. It's so interesting how human interactions over text are so ambiguous. One day you're liking each other's stories to show you're interested and the next you're seenzoning texts. Phones have become such a core part of the modern courtship experience and it's horrible. I wish that we had more third spaces which are safe and inexpensive where people who are single could interact with intention.

I saw something about how in Finland single people can signal that they are interested in a relationship in a grocery store by using a pink shopping cart and that's so clear. Please god of if I had one wish it would be make dating less ambiguous!

Such is life. What can ya do?
